Event Manager

As an Event Coordinator/Manager at Aspen Sky, you’ll play a pivotal role in orchestrating seamless events, ensuring every detail is covered from concept to completion. Our events range from winery hosted events to small corporate gatherings to large weddings. Your responsibilities include conducting client tours and consultations, event conceptualization and planning and acting as a liaison with vendors. You’ll be the organizational maestro, handling contract terms, payment schedules, and event day preparations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client tours and consultations, ensuring alignment with their vision and needs.
  • Manage all event details including timelines, room set up and beverage packages.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure clear communication and expectations
  • Outline and define contract terms and payment schedules.
  • Ensure completion of event day preparations and venue readiness.
  • Maintain organizational brilliance through checklists and processes.
  • Exhibit a happy, can-do attitude and empathetic communication.
  • Provide constructive contributions in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years or 50 weddings of proven wedding planning/execution experience
  • Availability on nights and weekends is a must (you will be given one weekend off/month)
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and extremely organized.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations.
  • Experience managing a team of people in a positive and productive manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Full-time position reporting directly to the GM/Owner.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Completion of event tasks on time and daily updates.
  • Successful conversion of venue tours into event bookings.
  • Creation of WOW moments for each client.
  • Demonstrated empathy in client interactions.
  • Oversight of up to 40 smooth, beautiful, and safe events per year.
  • Ability to work 40-50 productive hours per week.

If you love events and possess exceptional organizational skills, join Aspen Sky as an Event Coordinator/Manager. Conduct initial consultations, plan details meticulously, and execute flawless event operations, overseeing staff and managing post-event responsibilities. This full-time position requires a passion for customer service and availability on nights and weekends.

Part-Time Cook

We are looking for a part-time cook to join our team. We have a simple menu of cheese boards, salads, flatbreads and wraps. The line cook will assist our cook with prep and some simple cooking/plating. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Setup and stock necessary stations for service
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook basic menu items while maintaining efficiency and quality
  • Take care of food after service by correctly packaging and storing items for refrigeration
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen

Experience/Skills

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant kitchen is a plus, but not required
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and guests
  • Basic written and communication skills

Working Conditions/Compensation

  • Regular working schedule to include some weekends
  • Must be 16 years or older
  • 5-15 hours/week depending on your availability 

Tasting Room Attendant

Looking for an outgoing, energetic, customer service-oriented person who likes working in a fast-paced, fun environment. This position entails greeting and serving customers in our winery tasting room, educating customers about our wine club, wines, and winery, operating our point of sales and performing other tasting room-related tasks.

The right candidate should love wine, craft cocktails and people, and be able to drive wine sales with their passion, energy, and creativity while promoting hospitality and excellent customer service. The right candidate will also be a team-oriented, can-do kind of person.

Job Responsibilities

  • Wine service, presentation, and tending bar
  • Learn to make and serve our rotating signature cocktails
  • Wine sales in a retail capacity
  • Stocking of our products and merchandise
  • Cleaning of glassware and seating areas
  • Cleaning and maintenance of our wine tasting room

Experience/Skills

  • Willingness to roll-up your sleeves and do what needs to be done
  • Excellent people and communication skills
  • Obtain Responsible Beverage Server certificate within 60 days of hire
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Be able to work as part of a team
  • Reliable transportation
  • Prior serving experience not required
